Introduction

Welcome!

I am a public historian primarily interested in the realms of work, domesticity, and education. Most recently, I completed my Ph.D. in History in May at the University of Connecticut. For my dissertation, I studied Home Economics in higher education, with a particular focus on racial dynamics and international outreach (more on that later). I am now working in the Blackstone River Valley, a National Heritage Corridor that spans portions of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.

I created this page to bring together various projects I have worked on and to sketch out ideas for future essays or public history ventures. I was also looking for a place to reflect on trends in public history in the humanities at more than 140 characters at a time.
